Granada is not just a city where you have to relax in cafes and take in the sun, there are also places where you can go to keep fit. You don’t even have to leave the hostel to do that!
On the 2nd floor of the building, where the receptions is, you will be able to find a yoga room which you can use free of charge (as long as it’s not being used). We hold some of our own yoga classes from time-to-time which we will let you know about beforehand so you can join us. If you would like to use it for exercise we have mats, gym balls and weights that you can use.
If you would like to go outdoors to do your exercise, there are plenty of open gyms in the small parks across Granada. These parks have exercise machines that you can use to stretch your muscles and do your exercise without having to pay for expensive gym memberships.
If you are the kind of person who likes to go for a run, there are plenty of routes you can follow. We recommend our guests to head towards the Rio Genil, which is on the south side of the center and only a 20 minute walk from the hostel. The river is the most popular spot for joggers and you can follow the path around it for your evening or morning run. There is also a small exercise park by the Palacio de Congresos, which is by the river, so you can also fit in a more physical workout too if you want to.
On this site, you can find some jogging routes that over people in Granada have used: http://www.walkjogrun.net/running-routes/Spain/Andalusia/Granada/
