Más tarde, en el siglo XVI, los cristianos lo adaptaron para representaciones teatrales. El Corral del Carbón ahora alberga obras de teatro y espectáculos de flamenco en los meses de verano.

Es wurde im fünfzehnten Jahrhundert von Yusuf I erbaut als Kohlenlager, Lagerraum für Waren und Unterschlupf für Kaufmänner und Händler. Später im sechzehnten Jahrhundert wurde es unter den Christen als Bühne für Performances genutzt. Heute finden in den Sommermonaten im Corral del Carbon  Theatervorführungen und Flamenco Shows statt. ENGLISH: Built in the late fourteenth century as a moorish palace, the site was donated by the Catholic Kings to his secretary Hernando de Zafra, after the expulsion of the Muslims. When Zafra died, the palace became part of the foundation of the convent of Santa Catalina de Zafra and kept it until 1946, year in which happened to public ownership. From the building you can observe beautiful views of the Alhambra and admire a few murals, original paintings of the time.

Siendo un palacio nazarí construido a finales del siglo XIV, el recinto fue cedido por los reyes Católicos a su secretario Hernando de Zafra, después de la expulsión de los musulmanes. Cuando Zafra murió, el palacio pasó a formar parte de la fundación del convento de Santa Catalina de Zafra y lo conservó hasta el año de 1946, año en el que pasó a la titularidad pública. Desde el edificio se pueden observar preciosas vistas de la Alhambra, así como admirar algunas pinturas murales, originales de la época.

Nachdem Zafras Tod der Palast wurde ein Teil der Stiftung für den Konvent von Santa Catalina de Zafra die es bis 1946 bewahrte, bis es zu öffentlichem Eigentum wurde. Hernan Lopez el Feri built the small house and after his death, his son in law Lorenzo el Chapiz, who owned the largest and oldest house, inherited the property in the mid-sixteenth century, naming both the street and the houses with his name. It now houses the School of Arabic Studies.

El morisco Hernán López el Ferí construyó la casa pequeña de nueva planta, y tras su fallecimiento, su yerno Lorenzo el Chapiz, que poseía la casa mayor y más antigua, heredó la propiedad a mediados del siglo XVI, dando nombre a la cuesta donde se ubica y a ambas viviendas. Actualmente es la sede de la Escuela de Estudios Árabes.

Hernan Lopez el Ferí baute das kleinere der beiden Häuser und nach seinem Tod vererbte er seinem Schwiegersohn Lorenzo el Chapiz, welchem das größere und ältere Haus gehörte, das Eigentum Mitte des sechzehnten Jahrhunderts und sowohl die Straße wie auch die Häuser wurden nach ihm benannt. Heute befindet sich hier die Schule für arabische Studien. Geöffnet Montag bis Freitag ab 9:00 Uhr. Cuesta del Chapiz, 22.

원래 있던 건물 옆에 Hernan Lopez el Feri가 집을 지었고, 그의 사후 두 집 모두 사위인 Lorenzo el Chapiz가 상속받게 되었다.

14世紀に建築されたムーア人の宮殿の跡地に建てられた、二つの家が合わせられたものです。16世紀半ばにエル・フェリと称されたムーア人エルナン・ロペスにより小さな家が建築され、彼の死後その義理の息子であったロレンソ・エル・チャピスが遺産を相続し、大きな家を付け加えました。また、通りと家々に彼の名前がつけられました。
現在はアラブ文化学校となっています。
平日の午前9時より開館しています。
